Today, in our Research class, Dr. Langland discussed a key benefit of Naturopathic medicine which contrasts with Allopathic medicine. For example, in treating herpes simplex I, allopaths often use Abreva, one of the more common medicines. Unfortunately, Abreva only affects the virus in one way along its developmental process. So if the virus bypasses this step, it can still progress.
However, the blend that he and his team at ASU and SCNM have patented and is undergoing trials, they have developed a blend of herbs that involves 6 herbs, not just one. Each herb works to inhibit the virus at a different stages of its life cycle. This makes this blend more potent and effective than a medicine that works at just one site of the virus.
The clinical trials stated that Abreva works in 17 days, however Langland stated he found it in his research that it actually takes 7 days...so its not as effective as it seems.
By contrast, the herbal formulation he and his team have developed, also has near 100% effectiveness in treating all forms of the herpes virus, including shingles, chicken pox, herpes simplex I and II, cervical dysplasia, and also has analgesic properties that help relieve pain quickly.
This 6 herb formulation was derived from the top 30 list of most effective herbs, which were pared down based on researching the effectiveness and only working with the top 6, which work most synergistically together.
